e-Discussion on “Jobs, Decent Work and Inclusive Growth:” 8 February to 14 March

arton3766The 2012 Annual Ministerial Review (AMR), to be held during the HLS of the substantive session of the UN ECOSOC in July at UNHQ in New York, will focus on the theme “Promoting productive capacity, employment and decent work to eradicate poverty in the context of inclusive, sustainable and equitable economic growth at all levels for achieving the MDGs.”

In preparation of the AMR, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) have jointly launched an e-discussion on “Jobs, Decent Work and Inclusive Growth.” The e-discussion is built around a series of questions posed by expert moderators pertaining to the theme of the AMR. The aim is that it will result in an outcome document with concrete recommendations for consideration by ECOSOC.
