On Friday, 19 April 2013, the interactive conversation “Global Voices on Poverty” will feature World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to discuss what #ittakes to end poverty. The conversation will bring together world leaders, opinion makers, and a global online audience.
UNAOC and UNESCO launch campaign and invite partners to "Do one thing for diversity and inclusion"
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), together with UNESCO, corporate partners and civil society organizations, will launch the 2013 edition of the world campaign “Do One Thing for Diversity and Inclusion” at the occasion of World Day for Cultural Diversity on 21 May.
Call for applications for the “Living Together Peacefully in a Diverse World” prize
The “Living Together Peacefully in a Diverse World” Prize is being offered by the Government of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) for projects from Central Asia and members of the League of Arab State that are protecting and enhancing cultural diversity. The top four projects will receive a total prize pool of US$ 28,000.
