President of the General Assembly appoints Co-Facilitators on negotiations for the Post-2015 Development Agenda

The 69th President of the General Assembly, Mr. Sam Kahamba Kutesa, has appointed Co-Facilitators to conduct intergovernmental consultations on the modalities for the negotiations of the post-2015 development agenda: Mr. David Donoghue, Permanent Representative of Ireland, and Mr. Macharia Kamau, Permanent Representative of Kenya.

World Conference on Indigenous Peoples: Moving Forward in Realizing Rights of Indigenous Peoples

The first ever World Conference on Indigenous Peoples (WCIP) was held at UNHQ in New York from 22-23 September, bringing together Heads of State and Government, Member States, hundreds of Indigenous representatives from around the world, UN agencies and civil society representatives to share perspectives and best practices on the realization of the rights of Indigenous Peoples and to improve implementation of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
