The United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) is an inter-agency programme of the United Nations mandated to promote and develop constructive relations between the United Nations and civil society organizations.
A panel discussion, co-organized by the Permanent Mission of Liechtenstein, the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination (LISD) of Princeton University and the PeaceWomen Project, discussed gender equality, women’s empowerment, and women’s role in post-conflict development at UN Headquarters on 31 July 2014.
The UN General Assembly’s fourth Structured Dialogue on possible arrangements for a Technology Facilitation Mechanism to promote the development, transfer and dissemination of clean and environmentally sound technologies was convened at UNHQ in New York on 23 July. This full-day dialogue was the final in a series held in accordance with General Assembly resolution 68/210. The first two dialogues took place on 29-30 April and the third on 4 June 2014.
