The United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) is an inter-agency programme of the United Nations mandated to promote and develop constructive relations between the United Nations and civil society organizations.
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has issued four policy briefs on the inclusion and framing of rural development in the post-2015 global development agenda. The briefs address: rural-urban inequalities; rural livelihoods; food security and nutrition; and resilience and risk mitigation.

UN-NGLS is conducting an open process to obtain nominations for 4 civil society speakers and 34 additional civil society attendees for the UN 2014 Climate Summit, taking place on 23 September at UNHQ. 18 of the 38 representatives will receive travel funding from the Executive Office of the Secretary-General.
