The President of the General Assembly will host a one-day Informal Thematic Debate on International Migration and Development at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 19 May 2011, pursuant to A/RES/63/225. The debate is intended to build on the on-going international dialogue on international migration and development, and to contribute to the process leading to the second High-level Dialogue on International Migration and Development in 2013.
Representatives from civil society organizations, including those organizations not accredited with the UN, who wish to attend the informal thematic debate, are invited to pre-register. Pre-registration must be received no later than 15 April 2011. Please note that for planning purposes, pre-registration to this event is required. However, pre-registration does not guarantee entry into the meeting - seating will be on a first come first serve basis.

The UN General Assembly decided to hold a United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III) to take place in 2016. Registration/accreditation for PrepCom 1 closes on 31 August. PrepCom 1 will take place from 17-18 September at UNHQ in New York.
At the request of the Office of the President of the General Assembly (OPGA), the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) has set up an online form for civil society organizations to submit written comments on the subjects to be addressed in the PGA’s upcoming High-level Stock-taking Event on the Post-2015 Development Agenda taking place at UN Headquarters on 11-12 September.
