UN-NGLS releases updated first issue of Post-2015 Primer Series

UN-NGLS is pleased to launch an updated first issue of its Post-2015 Primer Series, created with the intention to demystify the post-Rio+20 and post-2015 intergovernmental processes and to help strengthen coordination and coherency between them. UN-NGLS aims to help ensure entry points for civil society seeking to engage with these processes, which are explained through these primers in easy-to-understand terms. The primers will be published in English, French, and Spanish.

Primer #1: Overview of UN Intergovernmental Processes to Define the “Post-2015 Development Agenda”

Primer #1 provides a broad overview of the intergovernmental processes that will lead to the new development agenda – including the Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing, and the General Assembly Special Event on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Post-2015 Development Agenda. The primers will also highlight political opportunities for civil society participation in the UN post-2015 intergovernmental arena.

Subsequent primers focus in-depth on the intergovernmental processes mentioned above, and include guides and instructions on participation.
